well hello there. long time no see. the thing is stuff has been piling on my schedule and i have no more time for dA. that's sad..well not really but it doesn't matter.

well wohoo i've voted for the first time today. good for me for being a responsible citizen! all you folks out there who don't vote.. SHAME ON YOU!

just a few minutes ago i was searching for a deviation that was a mock-up of the movie 300. and suddenly i realized how many catchy phrases/famous quotes from movies there are and how badly they are mocked. and of course it's 300's turn to be mocked. you have to admit there plenty of opportunities to make jokes about it: if it's not leonidas' urge to scream his lungs out at stuff it's one of his lines. There are only two memorable things he said the entire movie: 1. (This is madness) - Madness? This is SPARTAAAA and 2. Spartans tonight we dine in hell. These spawned a lot of interesting (and maybe cliche ideas) like spartan cats saying the same things , This is new Mombasa (wut?) , This is banana phone, This is a leonidas-is version of naruto .... damn you people have ideas and many other stuff like the spartan dude wearing a mickey mouse hat and saying "this is disneyland". You know... some crossovers would be nice. Something like "This is.. SPOOOOCK" or "This is FROOOODOOOO".
Of course the one with the dinning in hell inevitably involved KFC and McDonald's ... i'm still holding my breath to see if anyone does one with Maxim's.
Hmm.. even though the amnesia+spartan one we're funny ([link] [link]) and my little spartan pony is pretty inventive the best thing ever made that had reference to 300 has to be United 300 (it's a combination between United 93 and 300)

Well bottom line is I think there's nothing like a nice quote to get out the inventiveness in people. You have two thing going for you: everybody knows the original context and you can go a lot of places with lines like "Luke, I'm your..." or "I'll be back! ""

i always knew there were a lot of crazy people but until i saw the american idol auditions i never imagined how many of them think they can sing.
